We had it good. Really good. Then our mom was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. She always told us no matter what you do, it has to matter. So when she was diagnosed, that is what mattered.
During the 10 months between her diagnosis and the end of her life we did what we thought mattered. We went to every appointment, we researched anything we could do to help. We kept our feet firmly planted on the hope train. But our mom? She spent time with the people she loved. She took family photos with us and went through her life in pictures to really tell us about her life. She LIVED. She made memories for herself and for us to cherish. She knew these were the things that would really matter.
There is a hole left in our hearts. All of that love we always shared with her needed to go into something productive. So we started It Has To Matter. We sell shirts that have things our mom always said on them to raise money to help other badass women battling cancer make memories that matter to them.
